#1 for a reason..

...I could have started with the first flavor I've ever tried, but decided I should start with the most popular flavor out there.

Cherry Garcia.

Created as a tribute to Jerry Garcia (guitarist for Grateful Dead), this flavor combines cherry ice cream with chunks of real cherries and fudge "flakes." However, mine had fudge "chunks." No complaints.

Not too cherry-y, enough chunks that I could dig them out, and all around balanced flavors.

#1 for a reason.

On a scale of 1 to Amazing, ("Amazing" being the best (duh)), I give this a: RIDICULOUS. As in ridiculously good.

...this is what my freezer looks like.

You'd think I was deprived of junk food growing up (and for the most part, my mom didn't keep much processed food around), but as far as I can remember, we had ice cream after dinner most nights.

Shockingly, I didn't have my first BJ's experience until I was in college. But I'll get to that story when I feature that first flavor.

The Beginning

I love Ben & Jerry's ice cream.

I've decided that it's one of the few things I'm completely passionate about. I have an unofficial lifetime goal to try every Ben & Jerry's flavor, and I need a place to document my findings. Thus, the inception of this blog.

DISCLAIMER: I'm not sure I'm down with the whole "blogging" phenomenon. It seems a little egocentric, if you ask me. But I'm starting to forget which flavors I've tried, which flavors I've tried and I hate, which flavors I've tried and I love .... point being, I need somewhere for my BJ's insight. Someday, someone will benefit from this.
